Position
There are multiple permanent & full-time positions open for INSTRUMENTATION & MONITORING PROFESSIONALS within our Sydney office. Sixense invites all engineers, technicians and data managers with an interest or experience in Geotechnical & Structural Instrumentation and Monitoring to apply. All levels of experience will be considered and matched with existing role vacancies.
The successful candidates will learn about cutting edge monitoring techniques and gain experience on major infrastructure projects in Sydney and NSW. The position will involve both field and office work, and with support from the project manager, you will be responsible for planning, installing and maintaining a network of advanced monitoring sensors. The role may also include maintenance of our project monitoring database, reporting and quality control procedures.
Skills and experience required
- Knowledge and experience of Geotechnical Instrumentation is preferred
- Technical qualifications are preferred (diploma or bachelor’s degree)
- Always adopt safe attitude and respect safety procedures
- Experience working on & around construction sites
- Installation experience, comfortable working with hand tools
- Comfortable working both at the job site and office
- Can work independently, unsupervised and show initiative
- Good written English and communication skills
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc) and aptitude/eagerness to learn new software
- Ability to self-start and drive their own schedule.
- Proven ability to stick at problems and successfully troubleshoot.
- Eligible to work unrestricted in Australia
- Australian driver’s license
